EnValue and MSE Solar – new partnership with A2A Rinnovabili

EnValue and MSE Solar have sold a majority stake in their subsidiary, Parco Solare Friulano 2, to A2A after recently obtaining authorization for the construction and operation of a photovoltaic plant in the municipalities of Santa Maria la Longa and Pavia di Udine (UD), Italy, with an authorized capacity of 112.1 MWp.

The project currently represents the largest photovoltaic development in northern Italy. A2A is currently constructing another photovoltaic plant in the same municipalities with a capacity of 59.1 MWp. With over 150 MWp installed in total, the two projects will represent the main photovoltaic hub in northern Italy.

We are happy to have reached a ready-to-build stage with this significant project. We are convinced that our partnership with A2A and the resulting synergy effects of the plants in the municipalities of Santa Maria la Longa and Pavia di Udine will create added value in the long term, both on a local level and for the energy transition in Italy as a whole,” said Pauli Malsiner, Managing Director at MSE Solar Energy Italia S.r.l.

The joint infrastructure will produce a total of more than 210 GWh per year, meeting the electricity needs of more than 75,000 households, reducing natural gas consumption by approximately 40 million cubic meters, and avoiding the emission of approximately 90,000 tonnes of CO2.

The construction of the plant will continue to be managed by EnValue and MSE Solar, acting through EnValue Italia as the EPC contractor.

Many thanks to all the parties involved so far in the development of this important project. We look forward to commencing construction with our new partner, A2A. As a leading public utility, A2A has high-quality standards, which align very well with our general philosophy of long-term durability as an IPP,” said Baptist Gregori, President of the Board of Directors at EnValue Italia S.r.l.

EnValue and MSE Solar were advised by ValeCap (Financial), Parola Associati (Legal) and EOS Consulting (Technical).
